Weakened by post-election tensions, the Cameroonian economy also hangs in the balance regarding the authorities’ decision on concluding a new support program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

While the private sector continues to suffer the consequences of ongoing political tensions following the announcement of Paul Biya’s victory in the October 12 presidential election, another uncertainty looms over the Cameroonian economy. It concerns whether the country will enter into a new program with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or not.
